By using Blackbook or subscribing to the brief, you agree to these terms. They're short.

General information, not advice

Blackbook is general information. It isn't legal, immigration, medical, financial or safety advice, and it doesn't replace a lawyer, a doctor, your embassy or the authorities. Rules in Thailand change quickly and are applied differently case by case. Before you act on anything that matters, like a visa, a legal deadline or an emergency, check the official source we link to or ask a qualified professional.

Accuracy and corrections

We check what we publish, label how sure we are (official, reported, community report, analysis or unconfirmed), and date each item. Even so, information can be wrong or go out of date. We provide Blackbook as is, without guarantees.

If you think we got something wrong, including something about you or your business, email kevin@blackbook.fyi. We'll review it and correct it, or add your response.

The directory

A listing isn't an endorsement or a guarantee of a business's quality, prices, safety or hours. “Black-owned” reflects what the business or a reliable source told us. Confirm details before you go. Any paid placement will be clearly labeled. Businesses can ask for corrections or removal at kevin@blackbook.fyi.

Tips and suggestions

When you send a tip or suggest a place, you let us use that information to report, check and publish stories and listings. Only send what you have the right to share, and don't send anything you know is false. We never publish your name or email (see our privacy page).

We link to sources and businesses we don't control and aren't responsible for their content.

Sharing our work

Briefs and directory listings are © Blackbook. You're welcome to share links and quote short passages with credit. Please don't republish whole briefs or copy the directory.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Blackbook and its editor aren't liable for any loss or damage from using, or relying on, what we publish.
